Elizabeth Sprigge

British author of biographies and novels for both adults and children. She also translated a number of other author's works into English. A pair of her children's books were about ponies and were set in two of the UK's pony hotspots - The New Forest and Dartmoor. One of the books was illustrated by the great Lionel Edwards.
